i've been riding for a while but i have never understood what a chute is (riding chutes, bombing chutes etc.) can anyone help me expand my mtb vocab?

Or a general reference to a steep trail. Think chutes and ladders, the game. You go down real fast when you hit a chute.
there is a trail out here in colorado that is named the chutes.
