Chris King Inset on 2009 DW Link Sultan?

Hey homers, I tried searching this but the headset lingo in the search posts (zero stack, 44mm, etc) were over my head.

Just a quick question that needs answering...
- In trying to lower the front end of a DW Sultan, can one replace the traditional King headset with a King Inset ?

Nevermind. I think I found the answer to my own question. For anyone who cares, it wont work. The inset is designed around a head tube diameter of 44mm instead of the traditional head tube of 34mm.
There are a few other options if you're still looking for a way to drop the cockpit down:
- Flip the stem upside down
- Get a low-stack headset (Crank Bros make the smallest that I know for standard headtubes ~20mm), then throw a 2mm spacer on there then your stem.

FYI - I got your post on my Thomson stem trade ad. Shoot me an email if you want to trade up your 90mm for a 70mm ([email protected]) or PM on here.
