Hi guys I was changing my pedals, the spanner slipped off and I caught the bottom of my forks, all I know is that they are giant composite forks, they are on a giant defy 4 2016, would you say they are useless now or will mail varnish do the trick?

Thanks in advanced :)

I can't see any cracks around it, when I rub my finger over it, it indents a few millimeters

It just looks like a paint chip to me.

But, a "few millimeters" would probably be the entire wall thickness of the fork so if you're correct about that, and I suspect you're not, you might want to take it to a shop where they can inspect it in person.
Lol, can't tell if you mean it's naft or joking and saying it genuinely is just a scratch.

I'm joking. I think it is fine. Even if you took your wrench and purposefully gave your fork a wack, I would expect the fork to be fine.

Thanks for answering,

I'm going to give it time for the nail polish to dry then I'm going to take it down a hill with a few pot holes hit them hard just to make sure its fine so when I go down another hill at 50kmh I'll have nothing to worry about (hopefully)
