Just received my frame from Hong-fu. I ordered this on Tues June 14 and rec'd it on Tues June 21. I got a matte black 19 and it looks good. The cable guides are a little wacky in that they are somewhat on the lower sides of the top tube and are fairly large. I can deal with it-I just haven't seen this before (or at least I've never noticed this particular positioning).

The packing was very good and I was surprised at how light the box was when it was delivered.

Build will start soon.

PayPal just refunded the money. They said the seller agreed to a refund. Which is weird since Dengfu said they had no record of receiving payment.

I'll be placing an order with Hongfu soon.

Yo Dengfu hooked me up, $320 4 26" carbon frames took them to LBS, compared them to some Carbon Scott and Carbon Cannondale frames they are just as good OCLV 2 matte and 2 gloss black painted, of course I was carefull and fully expected to get ripped off I took safety precautions. But I did not shipping was great.

I can't post links due to my post count, but just google it...."hongfu bikes" should be enough to get you there

I'm a little taller and about the same weight. 19 should be a good fit.

Hi!

I have two questions!

1) Have you guys figured out where all those chinese copys originally came from, someone guessed specialized, is that correct?

2) Is there any cheap FS 29er frames available from china yet? Or have you any guess then it might show up?

I was surprised the were not run along the top.
My cables kinda hit the bottom of the head tube (no catching but they are a bit low.)
The good news is in an emergency dismount straddling the toptube you don't rack yourself up on cable guides. (Had several bikes before with top runs with that issue in the past:eekster:.)
Also, if you run a waterbottle cage on the seat tube a taller bottle is hard to get out. I used a Profile Stryke Kage cause they are cheap, light and you can pull the bottle easily out at an extreme angle as the clamp gives easily pulling sideways. (Usually use alum cages so I can push tighten them down tight on the bottles to prevent water bottle grenades.)

Also, you are gonna have stays break no matter what. Sometimes there are just failures. Just ask anyone who has ever ridden a jet9...okay, now that was uncalled for.

I just bought almost the identical frame - I tiny bit different looking but has that "swoop" on the downtube. Just bought a Reba with U-Turn for mine - what Rockshox do you have on yours? What is your opinion so far on riding the bike on some really rough terrain? Not droppers or anything just really rocky and just destroys your body (and bike) type of terrain.

its a rockshox sid race and yea its still a hardtail even though its carbon it still makes my butt bone hurt. but definitely more forgiving then my aluminum bike.

ahhaha i will poseur away. geesh no sense of humor, kind of ironic since were buying bootleg designs from china for hundreds of dollars but the ten dollar stickers that are obviously fake in person threw you over the edge haha i admitted it wasnt specialized in my first post. if it makes you feel better i own a real yeti and a santa cruz.
Specialized's attorneys will be calling you.
 haha if they do i will give the forum a play by play of the call for entertainment purposes i promise as that would be really interesting.

Hi,
I found another 29er frame, which probably hasn´t been mentioned in this thread (but maybe I just didn´t notice). The manufacturer is Xiamen Carbonal.
The frame looks similar to LTK023, but there are many differences (hooked down tube, external rear brake cable guides, but internal routing for both derailleurs). And they also have the 26" frame, which is the same, only the down tube is straight.
What is your opinion about it?
Does anyone have it or did anyone e-mailed them for pricing, geometry etc.?

I cannot post links due to post count, but you can easily google it..."xiamen carbonal"

For those who've dealt with Hong Fu, do you remember what their PayPal address was?

I don't feel like getting scammed again. Jenny also just said "I do not know if that's my mailbox have problem. so I send email to you via this mailbox." and replied with a different email address.
