What about going the other way?

This forum is filled with knowledge and ideas about adding more travel to your ride than it was designed for. I know you get slack angles and slower response and some like it, and some disapprove.

So who is going the other way? Anybody add their old school SID race 80 mm of travel to their 100 mm or 100 mm + ride? Do you like it a little twitchy, does it climb better, maybe a pound lighter?

Just wondering. Not sure what to do with my 04 Stumpjumper pro frame and the SID race fork I have on it. Does the $500 go toward a new Marzocchi marathon SL or a new wheelset?

Thanks for you opinion!

yeah, what about getting 4-wheel drum brakes installed on my car and perhaps a 3 speed transmission while I'm at it, maybe even 2 speed...
