i'm looking for a cheap wheelset for a mountain bike turned commuter. my only real spec is that i would like the ability to have disc hub but also a rim that isnt disc specific. that is i want to be able to run my v brakes but have the option to use the disc hub to bolt a fixed gear cog on sometimes. other than that i'm looking for cheap because like i said this bike will be used on short commutes and trip to the store. thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Are they rim brake compatible...the sidewalls are certainly not machined. Cup and cone hubs like Shimano and Formula can easily be converted to bolt on.
