Hola, all. I just bought a NYCBikes Uberurban frame, and will be building it up as a 29er (my first, by the way). I'm looking to buy an inexpensive 26" suspension corrected rigid disc fork, but I don't want a tank. I know the Dimension is heavy, but its cheap. What about the Kona 26" disc fork? Anyone know the weight (also, is there a difference between the project 2 triple butted and the other ones?). Any other inexpensive, disc options that don't weigh a ton? Thanks,
-Sean

Dimension heavy? 1100g or so! Really not too bad for a steel fork. Lighter than any 26" suspension fork also. Weight is relative sometimes. Lighter forks are hard to come by, but especially not a lot of weight can be saved. As you're starting with a cheap frame, the dimension would be relatively light for the job, IMO :)

bikeman.com claims that the P2 weighs under 2 pounds. i have the canti version, and i love it. haven't used it for 29" wheels, but i have shoved cross wheel and tire in there and clearance seemed good. not as good as a real 29" fork, but you should be able to use at least a few real 29" tire offerings.

I seem to remember someone once posted it's closer to 3lb. Not sure though. Isn't there an XC and FR version?
XC and DJ. i'm sure the DJ weighs a load. i never weighed my P2, but it sure didn't feel like 3lbs.

bikeman.com states a weight of 980g.
