I have been running 2000 Magura Louises (160 rotor) since new. I have replaced snagged lines and master cylinder bladders to keep them in fine stopping order, but there are times on steeps that I wanted more response and power. About a month ago I picked up an almost new 05 Louise FR (180 rotor) on e-bay for $53. Upon first installation, I was a little worried, but after bleeding the line and blow torching the pads, I have a tremendous upgrade in stopping power. It feels stronger ride after ride if that is possible since the pads are bedding in. If I waited til I had the extra cash for a new full set of Louise Fr's or Martas or until the old louises failed, I'd still be out there grumbling on the steeps. Sometimes you get lucky.
