Both bikes are around the same price. Haro $315, Windsor $300. I will be riding the bike to work, basically all streets and sidewalks. The Haro is from a local shop and Windsor is from bikesdirect. I have the ability to assemble and keep up on maintenance etc. I don't want or can spend more on a bike.

Hi,

I am down to two options for getting my first real MTB bike. Although I will use it mostly for freeride, I have plans to go ride on some hills and go for long distance biking.

Windsor Cliff 4500 --apart from the tech details the black seems very shinny.

Take a look into Diamondback Response. Probably, most likely, can get a decent 2010 sport or comp.
