I'm biased because I own on, but I am a 240 pound clyde and the frame holds me up I am sure your girl will have no issues with the quality of the frame. Lots of good reviews on the frame in the MTBR review section,DJpattiecake said:yeah the reken is what I was looking at.
is it an ok frame?
no it really doesnt matter, lol. shes trying to tell me not to buy one, and she'll ride some 20 year old cruiser we have lying around, which is utterly rusted and terrible. I'm gonna update her, just doesnt really matter how nice it is.zarr said:OP- try posting this question up in the Women's Lounge forum. The women will prolly give you some good advice. I wouldn't build her up a "beater" bike if I were you. She might say it doesn't matter...but don't believe it. Just my .02 Get her something nice that you can afford.
Try looking at performancebike.com. They have good bikes for ladies at good prices I think and stores to go to to look at the bikes.Good deals maybe too. Check their sales and policies. I think you can go to one of their stores and get a manager to order a bike in for you to the store for no shipping charges if they don't have one in stock. they also have a layaway plan and a maintainence plan if you need it. also a rewards program of some sort. You could prolly work out a good deal with them.(I still wouldn't listen if she told you it doesn't matter...:skep:DJpattiecake said:no it really doesnt matter, lol. shes trying to tell me not to buy one, and she'll ride some 20 year old cruiser we have lying around, which is utterly rusted and terrible.
