I have a Scott Genius with a E type front deraileur is it possible to use a regular front deraileur on this bike? I am wanting to get some extralite e bones cranks but they are not compatible with e type deraileurs? Any answer and explanation is appreciated

If it's the Genius I'm thinking of, there's simply no tube to attach the derailleur to. For a standard F. der to work, you need to be able to clamp it to a tube, I don't know exactly what year you're talking about, but the '09 doesn't have a tube back there, hence the E-Type.

Those cranks look kinda cool, but it's not going to work, I'm assuming because the BB on the Extralite cranks can not retain the E-type, or maybe they won't physically fit. Get some Shimano cranks, they're great, no weirdness.
