Thinking about building up a new Chameleon as an XC bike. I like the frame due to the allowance of longer travel forks. Here is my initial build list:

Fox Float 130 RLC - PUSHED
2008 XT Drivetrain (Cranks, etc.)
2008 XT Brakes
XT Wheelset UST
Thomson Post 410 mm
Thomson Stem 90 mm
Race Face Carbon XC Riser Bar
Maxxis Ignitor 2.35 UST Tires
ODI Rogue Lock on Grips
Chris King Headset
WTB Rocket V Titanium Seat
Shimano DX Pedals

SS Pusher Man

It's your it how you like......don't worry about what we think.

Otherwise, seems like a descent build.

I had one this summer in an XC build , was really great, I only sold it because my back just can't take hard tails , sad to see it go. I had a Pike on, and it would still climb fine at 140mm so you should be cool with 130mm, I thought it was too twitchy when i set the fork around the 100mm, I even fitted my Lyric at 160mm again still climbed ok and the DH was awesome, I would recommend at least a 2.35 tyre the back end can be harsh with a small tyre.
