i recently took off my crankset to clean it, when doing this i tool all the bolts out and cleaned each ring individually. i put everything back together thinking everything was fine, but now the chain keeps coming off the ring, its not hitting the deraileur, it just comes off. it doesnt look bend, it looks like its not in line with the cassette and the rest of the chain. What did i do wrong???

thanks

keeps coming off which ring?
did you make sure the rings are facing the right way?
Also, the rings need to be in proper orientation, there is usually a notch/extra spline or arrow/triangle stamped on the chainring indicating that that should line up with the arm.
did you install a new chain? new chain + worn rings = chainsuck, grinding & skipping

When you put everything back together you didn't happen to install one or more of the chainrings backwards did you? Did you remember to put all washers back where they go to properly space the chainrings?
