i have an 05 switch and i noticed it doesnt have the three tabs for mounting chainguides. i also noticed a lot of pics of peoples switches with chainguides. is it possible?

yes, you can mount directly under the bb.

Diablous guide comes with a iscg plate that mounts under the b/b e13 sells the bracket alone also.
