Wazzup Homer Nation,
I was wondering if any DW Spot riders have had success with the blackspire stinger? I am already running a bashguard so the stinger would be a cheap option to go with.

Also, if anybody has another option they have used with good success please feel free to throw it out there.

I have a blackspire stinger with a 22-32-bashguard setup on mine, and I've beaten the **** out of this bike, and I didn't have any trouble with it.
And this is a really cheap option!

Yes, combined with a LiteGod bash guard.

The Stinger works great with an XT crank, and shifts between the middle and granny are super smooth. Don't try the Stinger with a RaceFace crank as they don't play nice together.

Make sure you Loctite the roller bolt.

I ended up going with the Heim2 with Turbocharger bashguard for my Spot. I was lured in by the desire to get a new bashguard. And I have always thought the Turbocharger guards looked sweet.

Thanks for your thoughts on the Stinger! I think I am going to put the Stinger on my 29er so I can compare between the two and see which one I like better.
