to start off with i know you should never be in the smallest front and smallest rear gears but after having a new rear derailleur installed my bike has a lot of slack in it like almost 2" is this normal it is an 09 FSR XC with a XT derailleur. Thanks

Shift to Big Big combo, is the Rear derailler just about straight....pulled out as far as it will go....

If so you can't afford to go any shorter on the chain.

I run 46 32 22 and 11 34...

I can ride the big big combo...and so so.

The little little combo the chain is just straighting to rub on itself around the rear derailer.
