Hey, I posted in the drive-train forum but got no responses so I figured I'd try here. I have a Canondale Rush with Truvativ 44t 32t and 22t chain rings. I will be taking off the 44t because I want to put on a bashguard and a chain guide. Which chain guide should I go for? I'm pretty new to mountain biking after being away from it for many years, so I apologize if this is a newb question. Thanks in advance!

You can run just about any type of chain guard/bash guard. Just match the tooth selection.

Since your largest gear will be a 32t, then you get a guard that will fit a max of 32-34 tooth chainrings.

Unless you are having chain drop issues or running a 1x9 or SS, then a chain guide is probably not needed.

My chain comes off at least once per ride and its never from any large drops or anything like that. If I go plowing through a rough rock garden my chain sometimes comes off.
