By that I mean Mountainview. Registration, offline and online is now open at www.mountainviewmidland.com.

A great course with lots of singletrack, pie eating and other bonus events, free t-shirts and lots of prizes, and a laid back atmosphere add up to a great one-day race festival.

Whether its your first time for this race, or you've done it many times before, I look forward to seeing everyone again. Also, here's hoping that everyone who has said "Gee I'd love to do it, but I can't make it" can make it this year!

I really hope I can do this race. But I kinda hope I can't at the same time. If I can I am still unemployed, if I can't my projects have been approved and I am working my a$$ off. If I am there I should do pretty well, for me, as being unemployed lets me ride pretty much every day.

@GM, I am strongly considering organizing the race, racing the race, and racing in Haliburton the next day...do you dare?
With a dare like that, how can I wimp out now? What's the worst thing that could happen? :D

Mountainview is a great place to singlespeed too! For this special event, Team Monster is merging with Team Summers (Mom and Dad Squad) to form an all-SS mega-team. Pies everywhere are trembling! :)

This race was awesome.

I did it last minute on a whim.. turned out to be a good decision. Very close knit race, and the Mountainview folks are awesome hosts. I recommend that everyone do this race next year. Its a rare opportunity to ride some of the best groomed singletrack in the area.

Had so much fun! Thanks to the Joyride Geezers for letting us ride with them. We came within a bonus event of being on the podium and getting awesome Pez dispenser medals. Turns out a 29er with riser bars isn't the best vehicle for bike limbo. Who knew?

Trails were very fun and CHALLENGING and the atmosphere was incredible. Can't understand why this event wasn't even more popular. I know I had it in my mind that it was much further away than it is, yet it's probably only 1.5 hours from the GTA. Thanks for a great time!

Anyone looking for something a little more challenging than an 8 Hour should definitely step up to the 9 Hour at Mountainview. It's a great course that just dares you to notch up the speed on every lap.

The bonus events were hilarious (and as it turns out, kinda pivotal, we'll get you next year superlightracer! ;) ). :D

Great job tmas!

Glad to hear everyone enjoyed it! Its always a very busy, but very rewarding to day to ride, chat with some other racers, and play my favourite (family friendly) music all day long. Hope to see all of you next year!

Ha! I wonder what the heck I'm doing in that shot. Almost looks like I'm about to dismount on the drive side. I'll admit I had a few "moments" out there. :D

Definitely find a way to fit this one in the calendar for next year. Awesome course for singlespeeding!
