The Spring DH series will be ending following this Sunday's final race. Chances are pretty good that the final DH course will include two (2) climbs, one of which is right after the rocky start.

There will also be a raffle in memory of Wicked Racin's founder, Mark, who passed away following a crash near the finish of his DH run at the 2008 Sea Otter Classic. This was a tragic loss of an innovative guy.

Come on out and cheer your favorites, and show some support for one of the only remaining grass-roots racing series in Nor Cal.

Course for Race #8

The course looks to be similar to past CCCX Series final courses. The lower part of the course is used only for the series final and features some extremely fast and railing sections of single track, off camber trails, and fire roads. The finish is in the Bessie Canyon parking area. The upper portion of the course will be similar to other CCCX DH races and this portion has some wide open fire roads leading to bermed turns and switch-backs combined with a few drops to test all aspects of riding. The traction is fast, dry, and slick in most sections. So tire choice and air pressure will come into play to produce a riders fastest time.

Looks like the course WILL include two climbs for the final race. That first one really hurts, as it's followed by a loooong plateau that's into the stiff head wind and slightly uphill, too. Maintaining momentum is freakin painful.
