Hello everyone

Little trouble with my cane creek kitsuma air rear shock. I have noticed squishy sound at the begining of the stroke especially when coming back. If I compressing the shock for a while... after 10-20 times that squishy sound disapper and I hear only air is coming through. After 15 minutes of leaving a bike the story repeats:) by the way, I've noticed that sound have appeared after cold winter ride. The shock has only about 10-15 hours mtb hours and all that tune adjustments are working well, lockout also. so I do not think that it requires service.. actually I do not know:) maybe You do! Thanks!

You've got air in the damper fluid, so the only thing you can do is send it back to Cane Creek. Should be covered by warranty though. Good luck!
Thanx, mate. I do not know much about suspension dampers. Should I send it to CC as soon as possible or could I ride with that sound untill it needs full service?:D From your experience does the air in the damper fluid effect performance of the shock?

Anytime you have cavitation (free air in the oil) you lose dampening performance. Theoretically it could cause erosion of the piston and damage the shock, but in reality this is unlikely in a bike application. Bottom line, you should be able to ride it until you get it serviced, but it is not functioning properly.
