Hello!

My bike has a full XO 2x10 drivetrain except one component, the cassette (XT 10 speed, 11-36). Would it be beneficial to switch it for an XO or XX cassette? It seems they are going for nearly the same price, XX may even be a little cheaper. Thanks!!

XO and XX cassettes the same price? Unless we're thinking of different things, you might want to double-check.

To answer your question, it would be stupid not to put an XX cassette on your bike. Beneficial? Meh. You may have to spend a few hours on a street corner to pay for it, but it would be stupid NOT to put something that pretty on your bike!

LOL....Im just going off of ebay prices. XO and XX cassettes are going for ~250, I think. The XX is a drop 1/4 pound of so over the XT!

If you'd like a second opinion, the XT cassette will perform just as well as the X0 or XX cassettes. The only thing you get from the upgrade is weight loss (admittedly a fairly decent weight loss, but since it's on the hub it doesn't have the affect that real rotating weight in the rim and tires does). I'd wear out the XT first, then "upgrade" to something lighter
