I just got a new wheel deemax 12x150 and whenever i pedal hard to get up a hill or pedal real fast, the deraller disengages and runs free, but then shortly after re engages. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it? or should i just bring it to the bike shop

make sure the bearing adjustment isnt backed out too far.

get it back to the shop. Sounds like your cassette body is slipping (happens with mavic's)

like every so often i pedal and it goes freely, theres no resistance so thers no pedal power then it re engages

your hub pawls aren't engaging in the cassette body... have it serviced (mavic hubs are known for their quality)
