Apologies if this is too basic of a topic for most of you, but I'm a bit of a lighting novice. . .

I've got one NiteRider NiMh battery already and another headed my way via Priority Mail, both with the "non-smart" charger.. I've heard lots of conflicting info (mythology?) about how to best take care of a battery for maximum life, so I'm wondering what experiences people have had with what works, what doesn't , etc. In particular, I'm curious about how important it is to almost completely discharge the battery, time your re-charge etc. and if those things are important--any tips about how to best manage those things?
