maan, look at those awesome flip flops and legs in the background. That guy must be pretty cool. Haha...OK that was me. The photo did me justice not showing my tired face after a crazy ride through the woods of West Virginia.

So it's not your crotch we see in blue back there... :p

Seriously, maybe I'll have to get one of these. Prophet for hardcore rides, Carbon Rush for pure speed!

They are stupid light. It comes in only about a half pound heavier than the team scalpel. I rode one and it is a rocket, yet keeps all of the aweaome characteristics of the aluminum version.
Can you twist my arm even more Ron?
Now how will I convince my girlfriend that our living room can hold one more bike? :p

Typical, damn typical of Cannondale. Right after I buy my Rush 800 they have to go and do this. Well, it's really nice and maybe it will make struggling through law school worth it. :)
I'm not sure the carbon frame will get to the current 800 price range...

The only gripe I do have with this bike (for now, I don't know if it's gonna be released that way) is the top blue graphic... a bit too 06 Specialized for my taste. You know me Ron, give me one with only a clearcoat and the big bold white Cannondale lettering of the down tube and I'm sold... :)

I also wouldn't take these brakes but that's just components... dig the SLR's though.

I know, but what I mean is that it will take my eventual corporate lawyer salary to buy one! :) That is if I get accepted and pass law school. But still, I might go for the Scott Ransom if I had that much money...

I agree about the graphic on the top tube, and to be honest I do have some reservations about carbon MTBs, as I see carbon as more for road bikes and MTBs still better made from Al or Ti. I could be wrong, but I can't stand how carbon gets scratched so easily and can't be buffed out. Otherwise a sweet ride! :)

i totally agree with the above, i loved the carbon ravens, those bikes rode sooooo nice but they had so many problems. i wonder if cannondale figured out how to use carbon with out it cracking under the stresses of mountain biking....

Cannondale will most likely offer a full XTR bike like they do know on the 3000 model series, i beleive that the team edition will all be sram. The brakes should be the juicy ultimates wtih x/o triggers and rear derailluer. the front derailluer is a guess but i would still say xtr since sram hasn't uped their offering there yet.

I think people should chill out, stop living in the past and come back to 2006. A lot of people say Carbon will fail on mountain bikes, too fragile and such things... Carbon technology has come a long way since the first Carbon frames and components. I don't see people having any problems with Carbon Leftys, carbon rear end on the Scalpels... Everybody use carbon bars and seatposts without worries yet are afraid of carbon frames! Look at Trek Fuels: Alloy versions snap like the bones of a 134 years old lady while the Carbon version seem to hold on fine. Carbon, if well made is as strong if not stronger than alloy. It's not like they just lay some carbon fibers and that's it, there are strong resins and most of the time another layer of protective/cosmetic carbon with yet another layer of protective coating.

Ravens are in the past and were probably the worst Cannondale frames ever reliability wise, don't expect the same frame, it's a very different design, different technology is used. It's not like a Rush is used like a Judge anyway, if used as it's intended usage, those carbon Rushes will be fine...

Okay, enough...

By the way, the Crossmax SLR are exactly the same as next years SL, different color, Ti skewers and a wheel bag are the only differences.
