I ride recreational now (no time any more) but pretty hard even so. I've always had aluminum bikes but now mine are getting pretty old (read: still 26ers) and have been thinking of buying a frame and building a 29er.

I've been eyeing a bianchi hardtail that's carbon fiber frame (new not used).

I've also searched the interwebs and find some conflicting information about rider weight limits on carbon - some of it is old, some of it is on road bikes, etc.

Given a hardtail is there a rider weight limit on carbon frames or bianichi frames? I know there is on wheels and that depends on how they are laced as well.

Just wondering what the going assumptions are.

For reference I'm 6'2" probably 230-240lbs all geared up.
