I have a pair of Specialized Sawpits and the bottom of the shoe has a carbon fiber plate goin through it, and when you tighten the clips to the shoe they indent and scrape off the lamination of the carbon plate and after just a few rides i notice a few i gues bend lines (areas where you see the lamination has a split from i guess a bend)

Im gonna just assume this is normnal cause i cant see the plate withstanding sharp clip bottoms that seem intendded to dig into a plastic bottom when tightened (regardless of how much it sucks to try to make a micro adjustment after ;P)
