I have a 2010 Epic Marathon carbon and I want to run XX. I know the 09 models have an issue running the front dérailleur due to the cable stop location. Also it says the adater can be used due to clearance issues. My question is if the 2010's were changed at all? If some one with a expert or marathon carbon could take a picture of their cable stop from the top it would be appreciated.
So if i can't run a XX FD, can I just use the XT that i have now or could i use a 2011 X0 10 spd or 2011 XT/XTR 10 spd? any other options?

The non S-Works 2010 Epics with carbon fibre frames and alloy swingarms only have a single cable stop for the front derailleur. This looks like it's in the same place as on the 2009 Epic and is aligned for a Shimano front derailleur rather than the SRAM XX ones. I had a look at a few in the bike shop a few weeks ago to check.:)

Apparently you can use a SRAM XX derailleur with the wrong cable stop. The cable ends up at an angle but it does work:
