Is the Carbon Armor downtube protection sold separately? anyone inquire about it? I would like to apply one to my EX 9.8 Assuming this piece is not a molded addition to the Remedy 9.8 Frame?

Not yet, most likely not this year, I bet we see it as an aftermarket piece in the future.

You also have to remember that it is not just the visible component that is armored, there are internal differences in the carbon on the down tube as well.
From Trek: Carbon Armor is a 4-layer system that adds embedded stiffeners to the main frame and covers it with a replaceable polymer shield

I would like to see an aftermarket piece

The new Titus FTM makes a replaceable stainless steal down tube plate, I will look into the measurements of the plate and how much added weight? I just want to protect the bike before summer rolls around..
