The Old Farmer's Almanac calendar says "Beware The Pogonip" for this Thursday. Two days too soon, it slinked its icy "little cat feet" into Canyon Country.

Beautiful shots, Tim. Absolutely no apology needed.
That so makes me want to get back there.

Pictures like this give me a major climbing JONES.

Beautiful photos!

Must resist............
Well, I had to get out wikipedea--I've never heard the term pogonip before (unless you count the random bouncing my cats do after having some catnip). Thanks for the weather lesson!

Great pics too!
Superior, bikes or not

I am surprised the Budweiser crowd has never seen that boulder and thought - "well if we get out the jacks from both Jeeps maybe we could...". Or that spot is way off the beaten track. Nice pics.

That didn't seem to hurt Dave's post any either. Good photos have a way of speaking to all of us.... bikes or not. Very cool shots, Tim.

I fugured you guys must be having an inversion when I saw on the news last night that your high was supposed to be 18 deg.
Good work my friend.

(though it looks like water vapor to me)
