I am unsure if I should go with the Spider XVP or FRO. The prices are pretty much in the same price range so it is really about going for the better frame I guess. I don't really know much about Intense because this will be my first Intense build if I can figure it out :madman:. Any help or advice would be greatly, grealty appreciated

What are you going to use the bike for? How much do you weigh? If you are not aware, FRO stands for "For Race Only" and is therefore meant for XC racing only. The essential difference is the weight of the frames at the expense of ultimate strength. Intense claim 0.9 of a pound difference.

Racing is a possibility but not my primary concern. I am 175' lbs at 5'7" and I mostly want to use it for tearing up the local trails and doing a fun local race nothing too competitive. So I guess that suggests going for the XVP

I see from your profile that you are in New Jersey so I'm assuming quite technical trails. Lots of rocks and roots. I would definitely recommend the XVP. I would even think of a 5point5 for the area. That is what I ride but I weigh a lot more than you and I'm old. Have you had a look at the Intense website. Click on Frames for all the specs. and geometry.

You might want to look at the 5.5 FRO, very sick ride.
