Won't it be great when they shut this operation down and cannondale's are exactly like "gianttrekspecializedkonafeltsantacruzgaryfishermarin"??? A real shame...but what do I know, I was just one of their (formerly) loyal customers.

I saw a similar show on German TV this past week, where they went around the world for the most expensive products. It was pretty obvious that everyone there paid for their spots. They presented Cannondale as this extraordinarily exclusive company that caters to the stars and if one has to ask, they don't have enough money. They traced the building and the development, and destructive testing of a Prophet, as well. At the end, they posted the price of €10k. I had the "give me a ****ing break!" response.

Several posters have incorrectly made the assumption that "Made inTaiwan" means made by by robots or automated processes. All frames in Taiwan are made by hand, mostly by proud workers, several of which I've had the pleasure of meeting  I'm not saying Madein Taiwan is better, or worse, its just different, and cheaper...

And why do we need Taiwan to make almost every bike in the world? Cdale is going to be just like every other import bike, maybe where you live it is to your benefit, not ours. Do you think they will be made with the same pride, or will it be just another mass produced frame to export?
