I just bought a beautiful Waterford 2400 from the year 2000. Silver with blue panels and 853 Reynold's lugged. I know they exist but I haven't seen one lugged mountain bike frame and I just had to jump on this deal. $800 for a complete bike complete with a Manitou Minute, Bonti Race Lites, Chris King Headset, and a freshly brazed disc brake tab for the Avid BB7's.
My question is there a way to dimple the chainstays to accept a larger tire? The bike came with 2.1 Racing Ralph's and they fill up the tiny space Waterford claimed was acceptable for a mountain bike way back when in 2000
. Thanks for your help!
