doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose?
.
The purpose of a company is to make money, not 'be cool', or to 'keep it real', or to set the newest trends or whatever else. So if a company can sub-contract another company to make their product and deliver it cheaper then of course that is what they will do. Jeesh, what do they teach you kids these days (intellegent design?) , j/k.

Down here the price of surfboards went up like 200 bucks the day after Clark Foam got shut down. It's kind of ironic considering that surfers are some of the most environmentally conscience people out there...

don't break the derailleur hangar, it's not replaceable. why frame manufacturers would do this is comlpetly stupid and beyond me.....
good point, i didnt really look at the frame in detail i just really liked the design. that is pretty stupid that they didnt make it replaceable

Azonic does not make there frames. When the Saber was just getting introduced i was talking with Azonic, i was working at a dealership, they were subcontracting then & probibly still are. You can replace the seat stay instead of the hanger, but at what price?

I talked to Chris over at Azonic and the reason they don't have a replacable derailer hanger is because they wanted to have the hanger stiffer for racing...Personally I don't like it because I bent mine slightly at Tunnel (WCH you were behind me that day) ...but it hasn't been really an issue yet
