Anything wrong with installing Di2 on with routing like this? I'm not fond of having such a long exposed section, thinking of looking for some type of sheath for the exposed part. Thanks for any thoughts.

Nothing wrong with it. You could use the external battery case that would go under the WB cage.

I ran di2 internally on a frame not designed for it. No big deal.

I did cut and splice the wire to the rear derailleur because it came out of the frame on the downtube at the BB, and ran along the swingarm to the hangar fully externally.
I ran it through some macroline.

Thanks all, appreciate the info.
That macroline looks beefy and may probably work better for my application since my seat-tube is curved.
