Thanks for your quick reply Caspar. I used a ruler to make a very quick and rough comparison between the space between the drop-outs of the Kona and my 5 Spot and hopefully it'll take a new hub and cassette etc.
Also, would you know if it's still possible to find front deraileurs that will fit the narrow steel seat tube on my bike?
My little Kona has got quite a history and certainly had some money invested into it in the past. If I do these upgrades with no problems about the only thing that will still be stock on the bike will be the front hub and the seat collar. And they're bound to get to boot at some point too.

The P2 is great
The Kiluaea frame is great. I'm riding it much better now than I ever did in England, which I put down to switching between the Kona and my 5 Spot. I'm always amazed at what the poor little Kona will put up with. Kind of tempted to get a suspension fork for it, but as long as my wrist are ok I think I'll stay retro.
The basic advantage my Kona has over the Turner is it twists and turns so easily through the singletrack. The Turner is great for going straight over the rougher stuff but the Kona just happliy slips around it all.
Nothing is original with the bike now except the frame. I just had to replace the race face cranks is it did turn out I was having problems with the rings and the bb, and it was going to be a hassle getting the replacement parts in Korea. So far the XT cranks with the integrated bb are great however. Lighter than the raceface too, but I'll hold on to the raceface and find a new home for them one day.
I've discovered a new way to avoid future thefts as well. Simply hire someone to follow me around in a truck that my bike will magically blend into.

Yep, it's the P2 rigid fork. Many people say it's the best rigid fork around. I had a spare one too but I gave it to my the owner/mechanic at my LBS in Seoul.top_ring said:
