Hi thereDuncan said:I have a 1998 Kona Kiluaea that I need to fix up a bit. Can a Kiluaea frame of that age take a new hub and 9 speed cassette, or will there not be enough space? I'm hoping to put an all SRAM X.9 drive chain on it.
This bike was stolen about 3 and a half years ago in South Korea and magically returned to me about 6 months ago (long story). For that reason I'm really hoping the bike can take the upgrades I want as I don't want to give up the bike again.
Cheers,
Duncan
Yep, it's the P2 rigid fork. Many people say it's the best rigid fork around. I had a spare one too but I gave it to my the owner/mechanic at my LBS in Seoul.top_ring said:Great story about the bike coming back to you. Is that a Kona P2 rigid fork? I`ve been looking for one of those frames for a while... hard to find. 9 spd no prob - it`s more the hub then the frame that you have to be concerned about.
