Title says it all, really. Have the dimensions changed to prevent the new damper being used in an older F80X?

It'd be nice to get the new protune version of the inertial damper unit in my fork. Plus the rod on my damper was pretty worn when I installed the enduro seals (visually at least, only 2 thousands of a mm were gone, but the teflon coating is removed from one side and you can feel the striations in the metal—can't be good, might affect terralogic lockout function, perhaps?).

On a side note, I've been wondering: when the fork is compressed, where does the air in the right damper side go? Does it add to the springy-ness? It hasn't got anywhere to go!
