I have a set of silver Cantilever Brakes made by Campognolo that were on an older 1991 mountain bike. The pads and centerbolt have the Campognolo name on them but the arms themselves have no markings. Does any one have any information about Campy making them. The bike has been in storage and I am in the process of restoring it and I am trying to decide to use the age correct brakes or installing a newer set.

Any ideas?

Jeff, thanks for being so diplomatic with your response...

Tim, Thanks for the link to mombat. It is a great site with a lot of information! These are the same "Icarus" brakes found on th site.

Here are some pictures of the brakes as well as the guide they came with.

They're really nice. Your search may have been hindered by your spelling of Campagnolo. In any case, can't wait to see them on a bike!

You can also send them to me. I'll dispose of them properly on a bike as well. ;)
