Hey guys,

Did a search on 'Downieville Camping', but didn't get much info. How's camping in the area? Are the sites kid/family friendly, specifically Indian Valley? I'm planning a trip out to D'ville in August with my friends and we all have kids. Since I'm coordinating the plans I'd like to be sure that our wives & kids will be ok while we ride. The kids' ages range from 1-9 year olds. Would it be better if we stayed at a lodge? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Camping at Indian Valley is great, no showers though. The logde would be more comfortable with the young-uns, and the heat factor. Indian Valley is 10 miles from Downiville.
