You can camp any BLM land free of charge for 14 days, move your tent 5 feet and you got 14 more days. Gooseberry Mesa as well as the rest of the area has plenty of spots.Pedalfaraway said:Not sure if that is how you spell it. Its a wood floored tent basically
Awesome do you guys have any links that show these BLM and other campsites, so I can plan where to go?KThaxton said:There is also free camping down by the river under the cottonwoods a few miles before the Zion's entrance.
Not really that I know of unless you just look for a BLM map. Where do you want to camp? Centrally? At Gooseberry? In the park? Multiple spots? Do you have 4x4?Shwaa said:Awesome do you guys have any links that show these BLM and other campsites, so I can plan where to go?
Thanks again!
I dont have 4x4. Just a Tacoma truck with a camper shell. So avoid Mosquito Cove, ok...any other options?dhzion said:Not really that I know of unless you just look for a BLM map. Where do you want to camp? Centrally? At Gooseberry? In the park? Multiple spots? Do you have 4x4?
Honestly in the scheme of things, especially if you have 4x4, I'd avoid Mosquito Cove which is what the other poster is talking about. It's typically crowded, right by the highway and on BLMs "problem" list and possibly getting closed from what I understand.
Ahhh, I hate the heat so I avoid Zion's in the summer months, therefore, I didn't realize there was such a mosquito problem.dhzion said:Not really that I know of unless you just look for a BLM map. Where do you want to camp? Centrally? At Gooseberry? In the park? Multiple spots? Do you have 4x4?
