Has anyone ridden Bear Creek Trail and Camp Nelson Trail up in the Camp Nelson area this summer? If so, what are the conditions like? I'm especially curious about Bear Creek since that's more remote one. Thanks!

I'm sure Camp nelson is fine, it gets lots of traffic.

I had heard Bear has plenty of downed trees. Not sure anyone is maintaining it anymore. Heavy snow year didn't help either.

Edit - Recent Trailforks report says > 30 downed trees. Bring your chainsaw? You can always ride up Summit to Bear Cr turnoff and see how things look. Then ride back down Summit if conditions are poor.

Thanks! I just saw the report on Trailforks. It's from 8/5 so I can't imagine the trail has gotten any better. That's a bummer, Bear Creek is such an awesome trail.
