If you bought a pass last year, you will be getting a call by me in the next week or so when the new permits are available to explain what is going on. As this is being adopted by SAMBA as a group, we will be pushing to get a mebership drive to join SAMBA also. This is a real stretch, on SAMBA. SAMBA now has Swatara, Gretna and now Mack.

I know that this year you had to buy a permit for $50 to ride the property. I understand that that B.S.A. has had financial trouble, and all that land is very valuable. Thus, all the logging out there, access fee's for mtb riders, etc.
My questions are about where things are headed. Is the access fee going to continue? I can't see paying out another $50 for the 2 times a year I ride there. However, if paying that fee would allow some new trails to be constructed, say by SAMBA or/with the scouts, I would pay it,and/or volunteer my time to trailbuild. Especially in the areas now cleared by logging, there is potential for some great new singletrack.
Anyone out here know the scoop??
btw, the horseshoe on the other side of 322 was incredible yesterday! 16" wide packed snow singletrack across the ridge, then a DH was sooooooo fun. Thank you hunters for packing that trail down for me.one of the best rides this year.
