Desert Ryder I prefer to put it under "goods" I will pay the fee.
I will give you 70 shipped?
Will that work?

]joseh111 Am sorry, I do use friend and family so I can make sure I got the goods ship to you very early, I don't like delaying goods just because of cash and I prefer taking goods and services for goods over 200
Try to understand that the shipping fee is part of the fund you are sending, please send as friend and family
Thanks

The link isn't functional.

I take it you bought something off this person, who did not deliver on his promises.

He has 1 post here and spelled his name wrong in his username. Throw in an Arab Prince and we have the triple crown of red flags.

Whatever occurred, I feel for you though. I hope things work out.

In before da bin...

EDIT: I see you have edited your post to include the convo now...

A buddy was going to buy a bike off Pinkbike. The seller only accepted cash or Venmo. We declined to proceed with the buy. Another friend prodded the seller as an interested buyer and got the seller to open a Paypal account. The original buddy then went back and proceeded to buy the bike using PayPal Goods and Services. Bike was delivered and everyone is happy. No way was he going to send $3,000 to a stranger using Venmo.

$62 ain’t peanuts but personally I’d consider it a pretty cheap lesson and move along.

I mean, you know, after calling the guy out about it.
=sParty

P.S. The way to call someone out on MTBR is like this: @joseh111
I suspect this 1 post Joseh dude is a one and done guy. Long gone...

I hope he chimes in though. I am bored and my work day has started on a super $hitty note. I need a little pick me up.

I know. I guess I was in a moment when I want to get this project going. No, the money doesn't break me. It's the whole "I hate thieves" thing.
I lose more than that at a casino in an hour or less.
My first internet scammer. I'll still file a dispute through the credit card company.

Can’t blame you. Let’s hope there’s an especially hot corner in hell for bike thieves. Scamming is just another form of bike theft.

This falls under "If you give a friend $20 and you never hear from him again, it was worth every penny". Sorry this happened, but the signs were there in spades. Thanks for calling him out so others may avoid the same. Always recognize the signs, and always trust your gut. Consider it a relatively cheap lesson and have a pint to cool off.

So I'll be honest.

I had to leave the house and pick up pizzas for dinner and my wife took over at the point where I wanted it shipped under goods.

I was driving when she told me about the trust crap but I said just pay him.

I didn't check post, member sign up date till after....My mistake.

Lessons learned. Sometimes experience costs.....My bike is still under $200 though..

I know you don't need anyone piling on, but there are lots of red flags in that exchange. Tons, TBH. Be glad it was only $62.
Google image is your friend...drag and drop the image directly into the search-bar:

Google even shows that the first image, of just the spring, came from an eBay ad.
I know, I know......I did all that crap after.......

Image search, reverse phone, member profile, facebook name search....sigh...
