Hey, i recognize the floor that first one was sitting on. and walts garage in the second one...and hey, i rode pisgah over thanksgiving....
here's my pics, by the way, i picked mine up july 1st 2004.
1. mid november this year, sorry, but no close ups.
2. july 1st this year, been converted to ss since january
3. fresh from walt's house, hadn't even adjusted saddle, put on new stem, and if you'll notice...i got my bike done before walt got any stickers made, so i had a nice stealth green frame for a while. now the only thing my ww needs is a sticker proclaiming "made by walt, mtbr 29er man of the year" come on cloxxki get us an official logo or something!

Alrighty, here they are. I can't find the ones Walt sent in its raw form, so will start with one from Spectrum, then one that I took to send to Walt right after it was built up, followed by a couple when it was h-barred and 1x4, and then finally my roadie.

ALSO....if you picked from Walt's listed color choices, list which one you chose....mine above is the Postal Blue. TamJam, what color is that roadie?
Neither of mine are Walt's colors. None of them really did anything for me. Ironically, I think the blue on my 29er ended up pretty close to one of his stock blues, although I wouldn't have been able to do the panels.

The roadie color is one from Sycip's incredible Wall of Color (as I call it). They have (it must be) hundreds of colors there by the counter, just one big rainbow. They call this particular one Reed Green, with a Gold Dust top coat.

Love the fork, they remind me of the Yo Eddy fork. Only small thing is the blades have to be so long for the correction.

Luv the panel decals too.

I like the color on your road bike. It looks like it's the same one I chose for my frame that's in the mail from Walt as we speak, except I'll have the white decals. What color is that?

Look up a couple replies, MichiganClyde asked the same question. It turned out really nice, and only cost slightly more than what Walt credits you if he doesn't have to powdercoat your frame.

I have since taken off the yellow decals and put on his new black ones, by the way. Unfortunately he didn't have the black ones ready yet when the frame was ready for PC, otherwise they would have been able to clear coat over the decals.

Right, note to self: read entire thread with focus on comprehension. My bad. Mine's an off the shelf WW color that looks strikingly similar to that. He has the color show cased along with his newer decal in his gallery but the color escapes me. Maybe root beer? Or perhaps amber ale?

'nother blue WW

As seen on Walt's homepage... started out with gears but I got sick of cleaning the drivetrain etc. So it's got a 20T surly cog. Soon it'll be sporting an eccentric hub me thinks. Also, now has a WW rigid fork too as I've tried getting out in the winter, and want to try and force myself to not just bash into things. Sorry no action shot (plus I've only pretty much lurked here, so don't know if I'm attaching a picture correctly)... Z

Glad to have you on board and out of the "Lurker-Closet" Winger! ;)
Looking forward to seeing pics with your WW fork (they are soooo smooth) and hearing more from you. I am happy to see everybody's sweet Waltworks, and to continue to support our 29er Man-O-the-Year!

Walt is changing my cable guides from slotted to hydro style; I am now running Hayes El Camino's instead of the Avid BB-7's. Also, I have changed from the H-bar to an 11 degree Salsa Pro Moto with Titec Pluto carbon bar ends. I am looking forward to the new carbon version of this bar!

Hey Moto!
Since I separated my left shoulder (A/C) and need to rest it a bit this winter, I figured it was a good time to have Walt do the mods on my frame and go for some fresh powder with the new decals. Think cobalt blue!

Keep all those sweet WW's coming! And share some stories, too. It is fun to read and will help pass the time for those on the build list. ;)

OK, I'll come out of the closet, too. I didn't post a picture of my bike when I built it this past summer. Part of the reason was that it looks just yours, OGG! The parts pick was pure coincidence (I had already stockpiled many of the parts), but the color choice wasn't. I liked your color a lot, so I told Walt to paint my frame the same. Mine seemed to come out a bit lighter shade, though.

Anyway, I love the bike, and I'm thinking about getting in line again for a geared frame. This time I might go with Spectrum and get a wilder paint scheme.

What color is that on walts board? I want a lighter blue like that. Does anyone have a white one? I was also thinking of doing that as well. Still can't decide on the SS or gears even though that's all I run is SS, I just feel like I might need gears. I don't know, maybe I will just stick with 1 gear...The KTR can be done with 1 gear right? right?!!! I said I wouldn't do this to myself! Oh the pain of deciding what to do with a custom made bike to fit me like a glove! The pain, the pain!

Very nice bike. Simple and well proportioned.

Well, I picked the BL05, which was what Walt told me OGG's was. As you can see, it's quite a bit lighter than the paint chip or OGG's bike. If it was a mistake, it was a good one.

As a bonus, it matched a Kona cyclocross jersey I had . . .

Thanks. This is my fourth single speed, so everything I always wished the previous bikes had, this one got. ALMOST nailed it. (If I admit it's perfect, how do I ever get a new bike?)
