Hey everyone,

Well, our Trail Night on Monday didn't quite go as planned. The hail storm that came through Calgary blew right over Fish Creek, and nearly washed away our trail crew!

Needless to say, we called it quits and ran for cover!

So, to make up for the lost day, this Tuesday, August 3rd, the CMBA is hosting its forth volunteer trail night of the year REDUX. Come help shape the trail network we love in south Calgary!

Start time is 6:30PM, meeting on Shawnee Rise SW. Details here:

Rode this yesterday. Great job guys, I'm glad the "friends" of FC are allowing some new trail building to happen.

Glad you liked it! It's actually Alberta Tourism, Parks, and Recreation that are allowing us to work in Fish Creek. They make the ultimate decisions on what we are allowed to work on. Fortunately, the TPR staff that directly look after Fish Creek are very eager to build and maintain the singletrack they have, and they like having us partner with Friends of FC to do the evaluations and actual work.

This year was a little bit of a trial run for all parties involved, and it went very well. We hope to do a bunch more maintenance next year!
