Caffeine frames?

Hi all

I decided on buying a C-dale (Seeing how everyone whos has one loves them) and I'm deciding between the f4 and f3 caffeine. I was just wondering what peoples opinions are on if the caffeine frame is really worth the extra $200 or should i just go with the f4 and use that extra cash for other components?

Honestly, it's my opinion that any of the C-Dale frames since the Furio (CAAD5) will do just fine. The average rider will probably never tell the difference.

That being said, the F3 has better components as well. Those components are well worth the $200 increase in price. Better brakes, better shifters, and a rebound adjustment added to the shock.
The f3 caffeine frame is actually close to 600 grams lighter. That is a big difference in weight that could result in a pretty light bike.

 Wow... 600 grams is a lot of weight. I think it´s about 60 grams. Isn´t it?
Furio X is around 2000+ grams.
Caffeine is around 1450 grams.
Taurine is around 1250 grams.

I thought The f4 and f3 had the same ultra fatty DLR fork?

I know about the brakes, but not much about the shifters..

 Are you certain about the Furio X is really around 2000 grams? I´m asking this question cause the weightweenies website, indicates, for instance, the 1FG 2006 L weights 1810 g w/ EBB/Headset cups/higher cartridge bearing/bottle opener and a Furio 2004 L weights around 1779 g . I thing would be strange the 2007 furio weighting more than the 2004 model.
Otherwise, I found the following information on http: //www.singletrackworld.com/article.php?sid=2083:

"Bringing new aluminium hardtail technology to the XC segment, the Caffeine's 6061-T6 frame is 15% stiffer than the Optimo frame as well as being 60 grams lighter. Oversized, hydro-formed top tube provides excellent steering precision and strength. Rear end stiffness is provided through oversized seat stays with pedaling efficiency being maximized at the bottom bracket with a new larger Power Pyramid down tube. Disc only design maintains clean lines throughout and reduce overall frame weight. "

In fact, if the furio-x is so heavy, the caffeine worths the extra money, but i´d like to know the exact weight of the furio-x frame, cause if the difference is just 60 grams as the website i mentioned says...

The F3 fork is a bit better with the rebound adjust....not sure if the guts are better or not. As far as the frame, one of the differences is that the caffeine frame has all the cables under the top tube whereas the furio frame runs the front derraileur cable under the down tube. I think it's a cleaner arrangement. Just got an F3 myself and I can say it's absolutely awesome. No regrets. According to what they publish on the website, the F3 is almost 2 lb lighter than the F4....a nice improvement but probably mostly due to the components.
