Wanting buy a XC bike and I want to buy one that will last a long time. I know there are a lot of good bikes but I don't mind spending the money on one that will give me years of enjoyment. I'm leaning toward a Santa Cruz Blur, but wanted some other suggestions. Thanks

Realistically, so long as you keep up on the regular maintenance, don't abuse it or ride it beyond its means, most any quality XC bike will last you for many seasons. The Blur is a decent bike, well spec'ed and an honest performer. Along those lines you may consider the Specialized Epic, or the Giant Anthem. Can't really go wrong with any of them.

If your looking at buying from the local bike shop then as ST mentioned take a look at the Epic and Anthem. I would add to that list the Specialized Stumpjumper and Trek Fuel's. I think all of these compete very well with the Blur.
