I recently found a great deal on a 2005 Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc (only $325 dollars!!) at my LBS. The only problem I've seen while reading reviews of this bike is the Marzocchi MZ-3 fork, in which the reviews were pretty harsh (http://www.mtbr.com/reviews/2006_front_shocks/product_126502.shtml)

The problem is that both the Giant 2006 Yukon and Rincon...both more expensive then this 2005 hardrock.... got bad reviews on their forks as well and have 75mm of travel, whereas the Marzocchi MZ-3 has 100mm of travel.

Would it be a good idea to go ahead and buy the older hardrock comp disc with better components (possibly not the fork) than to pay the extra money for a newer (but less tricked out) giant??
