I am a rookie and I had a burn out due to 2-3 weeks of overtraining.I've been suggested a resting program and although I don't strictly adhere to it I do so in a fair extent.After the resting program of 2-3 weeks finishes successfully will I have got back my previous strength?If not how long will it take?

So what were you doing as a training regiment? Were no day(s) of rest or low intensity training in your program? What about your diet? I'd talk with a qualified sports trainer and/or sports doc who could help you with your training.

I swim 3days a week at like 60% of my max capabilities,but I walk around quite a lot,like being hypertensive and I think this takes a huge toll on my resting so don't do that.
