So I'm building up my first bike, ever...any tips aside from the general installation of parts that I should know?

Building up a 08 santa cruz blur XC with
XT front derailleur
XTR rear derailleur
XTR chain
XT crank/bb
fox talas fork
CK headset
avid juicy 5s
thompson post and stem
monkeylite XC bar

anyone know where to get info on what torques I should be torqueing things down to?

also, where should I be applying grease? I know to put some on the fork race before installation, put some on the headset before pressing, but where else?

Thanks in advance.

I apply grease to pretty much every bolt and metal to metal contact point. Some carbon manufacturers say not to use grease on their parts (use carbon prep instead) but pretty much everything else gets some grease.
