Hi all. I currently owned a Giant Revolt frame which is I think enough for my entry-level exp on gravel. I was wondering if I can mix my extra road components (105 r7000) to some gravel components like GRX 600/810. I was concern about the cable pull ratio they are talking about? Planning to use 105 shifters with spyre mechanical brakes then the rest will be GRX 11 speed. Any thoughts?

I would also like to get your opinion on this bike rack 2019-2022 Subaru Carrier Hitch SOA567B060 | Subaru Online Parts Store - is this somehow OP or not? I want something durable and not some cheap bike racks. I also preferred hitch-type that roof-mount. Thank you!

Never, ever buy accessories like roof racks and hitch racks from a stealer. Lot's pf great aftermarket stuff, 1UPUSA is considered one of the best and is what I would get if I wanted a hitch system.

You have the hitch currently ?, if not, either buy online and install yourself, there are a ton of YouTube videos on how-to, or go to a U-Haul dealer and have them do it. DO NOT have the dealer do it, they will rip you off. If it'll fit, get a 2" hitch.

Were talking gravel bikes here. I considered going 1x on my cross, but my cross gets significant road usage in addition to real trail use. Couldn't get the versatility of 2x. 1x you have to compromise in one aspect or another.
Really depends on what you’re doing on them.

I don’t race, ride group rides or focus on hitting target power zones or cadence.

When I went 1x on my gravel bike, I was worried about what I was losing. Ends up I miss nothing in the real world.

Honestly, the only time I remotely notice it is indoor riding on Zwift. For that type of stuff I would actually like slightly smaller gearing jumps, but that’s usually because I’m “racing” someone else in Zwift that probably has zero idea they are in a death match with me…

If I was competitive, I would have stuck with 2x on the gravel bike. But I go out for fun and to sometimes ride with friends.

I’m actually looking for Shimano to finally release 12 speed gravel stuff. Give me slightly closer ratios and I’m 100% happy.
